Originally founded by Steve Hamilton and DBA Hamilton Tek, this website was designed and dedicated to
provide end users and small businesses with easy to access professional support and complete solutions
to their needs.
TECH SUPPORT ONLINE.CA is sponsored by Hamilton Tek, which was originally opened in 1996 as a computer repair company.
This company was working closely with a computer store and an Internet Provider in the early years. These first years were also very rocky
years as there was fierce competition and many companies were closing doors. This was known as the era of the DOT COMS where as many of us
were aware, were here today and gone tomorrow. This was also a time when the Internet was still very very young and growing in popularity.
Steve has been a technician and manager for about 35 years. He first received computer training through
the Canadian Military in 1979. In those days keyboards and mice were not yet invented so programming had to be
accomplished with on/off switches with 1 K of memory. In the next few years that followed, leaps and bounds
in technology and progress were made. Todays systems and laptops are extremely powerful and compact and are still
getting better, faster in a smaller space. Wireless is becoming a norm for homes and businesses as well as laptops
are being seen as desktop replacements due to their lower prices.
A new revolution is hitting the 2011 markets, with Tablets being the new form of computer. Tech
Support Online sells Tablets, sometimes known as APADs, with the latest of technologies. It is believed by many including
well known personalities, that the Tablet is the way of the future.
